KAT
CO-OWNER|Painter|Photographer|CLIENT RELATIONS
Photographer Kat Almonte creates black and white images that feel both personal and quiet. Their work includes street photos of empty public spaces and medium-format film portraits that feel like a conversation.
Almonte’s style is informal. It focuses on the relationship, whether with a person, an object, an idea, or an environment. They use broad areas of light, shapes made by shadows, and elements in the scene to build their compositions.
While life can be loud and unpredictable, Almonte is most interested in the calm, in-between moments. They patiently wait for that perfect pause. Then, they press the shutter button to capture and preserve that specific feeling in time.
"the inner reality creates the outer form."
